A wonderful autumn season!

It was a beautiful autumn in our part of the country -- and it was made even more beautiful because two of my favorite sessions were enjoyed with family members.

In October I had the privilege of photographing my niece's family. I had donated a portrait package to the Galactosemia Research fundraiser earlier this year. My niece Robyn, her husband Jeremy and her daughter Annie (who has galactosemia), were the beneficiaries of this package when Jeremy's mother bid on and won the package. She proceeded to give it to Robyn and Jeremy and Annie. What goes around comes around, I guess!

It was a beautiful day -- cool and breezy -- but beautiful! Robyn, Jeremy and Annie met me at Kankakee River State Park and we proceeded to take multitudes of pictures -- some of which will be posted on my site very soon -- but of course, we need to see some samples.

We were all pretty cold when everything was done, but we went to Grandma's house where I had made a pork roast dinner to round out the day.

Less than a week ago, on the day after Thanksgiving, I had the pleasure of taking senior portraits of another niece's son, Kyle. After some indoor shots in my basement studio, we also went to the state park to round out his session. It was another beautiful day -- but windy and cold! I don't know how Kyle managed to stay smiling. I know I was freezing.
